From intellectual property in immortal cell lines to the legal status of implants, the question of property rights in the life sciences poses significant challenges to conventional property law. The seminar examines the emergence of property rights issues in medicine and the life sciences, traces different approaches to their resolution, and discusses the moral conflicts that arise.
